Frequently Asked Questions

If there’s any questions left unanswered or you wish to reach out you can do that by reaching out through here.

I am not familiar with bushcraft or being in nature

It’s not about what you already know. It’s about the willingness of you to learn and be in it. It is not for the die hard adventurers. We make it accessible for everyone and yes you will be challenged. Because this way of living and working is new for many. But we promise you it will be an experience to never forget.

Arrival day & Departure day?

As we’re commiting the full 5 days to the event and will start early morning and will make good use of the last day too we invite you to come one day before the event starts and leave the day after the event ends. As start day and time will be around 10:00 and the last day end in the night.

How do I get to location?

a. Fly to Oslo —> Take train (approx 5 hrs)

b. Fly to Oslo —> Take bus (approx 6 hrs)

c. Fly to Oslo —> Drive to Torsby (approx 2,5hrs)

d. Fly to Gothenburg - train to Torsby (6hrs)

e. Fly to Gothenburg - drive to Torsby (4,5hrs)

f. Drive from Amsterdam to Torsby via land (16:30) hrs

This website: https://www.rome2rio.com/ can give you a good indication on what could work including prices.

PS. Please if you’re looking to team up with someone, reach out so we can match. So if you’re offering a ride from Netherlands/Oslo/Gothenborg or need a ride. Let us know in both cases please.

What is the location like? Are we safe? Is our stuff safe?

It is a place that is stretched out, with a variety of heights, with large rivers. You can find fish, berries, there’s swamps, small animals, roe deer, red deer, mooses, all kind of birds. This will be a very unique place where we are actually allowed to wild camp.

We are in good hands with Thijmen as this is his go to place. Don’t worry about safety, we can move pretty swiftly to a main road in case of emergency.

What should I check in, as weight, if I fly?

The recommendation is to check in a bigger bag if you bring a tent & sleeping bag. Unless it all fits in a hand lugage, which is definitely possible.

What should I bring?

Here's the full list.
